When I set out 8 years ago to go ALL in on entrepreneurship, I had 1 major goal in mind... to be able to support my family wherever I wanted to be at any given time.
Fast forward to today & that goal has been achieved.
From my linked in posts, to my timeline, to DM's & txt's... so many in the True North community want to know how.
So in this letter, allow me to share a few of the tips/tricks I've learned along the journey.

Know where you want to land before takeoff.
In our True North collective, every member commits to a "Lifestyle Contract".
This is a real document, with terms, that we all sign off on in front of our peers that is a personal commitment to work diligently, around our 3 key True North Revival pillars :
Freedom - designing the life you want to live + the income streams needed to build it
Financial Literacy -continuous education & investing execution so we can support this lifestyle indefinitely
Mindset - our firm commitment to continuous self improvement, health/wellness & faith
Lifestyle design is as much about personal growth & betterment as it is simply "financial freedom".
You can have all the money in the world, but if you don't have the freedom, what's the point? You can have all the freedom, but if you run out of money.. well there goes that, & if you don't take care of yourself... then all of the above are for not. Dig?
That being said, defining what your True North lifestyle & protecting it with nonnegotiables is the first place to start.
Tacking Action.
The other side of FULLY remote freedom is having the right "tool kit" to make this dream a reality.
With the launch & upcoming kick-off of our True North Collective, I decided to ditch my gorgeous Whitefish office for a fully remote working experience. After all... if we are going to celebrate living out our True North lifestyle, anything less would be hypocritical.
So, I spent a TON of time researching the BEST/most affordable tools to accomplish this, here they are ::
To power my devices, I found this $450 generator to do the trick, it's not as quiet as advertised so I just keep it at a distance & use a 100ft. extension cord.
After going deep down the Starlink rabbit hole, leave it to reviews from full-time RVers to sway me towards T-Mobile's 5G home internet - BY FAR my best discovery of 2023
I use Lumina's 4k webcam for all of my zoom calls, for the price, the functionality is unbeatable - especially since my backgrounds (sunny, cloudy, snowy, etc.) change daily.
I connect my phone through a lighting adapter to my FiFine condensor mic, as I record mostly outside & don't want to meddle with wind pops or other noise distractions.
I record ALL my videos on my I-phone 14 through Filmic Pro & edit them through Lumavision on my I-Pad because both integrate seamlessly amongst all of my apple products so I can upload & share before I shut down for the day.... no matter where I filmed that day.
Outside of the one time payment of $450 for the generator, all of the above cost under $100 to implement... with the flexibility + cost savings this tool set offers, trading in my $800 a month office for it was a no-brainer.
Today, I get my work done in between casts, laps on the mountain OR miles on my bike... when my work is done, I pack up & head home to enjoy quality time with the fam. Easy, peasy :)
